Wedding reception in Tempsford for Caroline and Angus Lammie on Valentines day 2009.

Hi Greg,

Thank you so much for doing our wedding reception disco.  Angus and I had a great time and judging by the number of thank you’s we have received complimenting us on the good food, drink and disco so did everyone else!

We were just wondering if you did a little video which you mentioned and if so, if we could have a copy?  You know how it is – all that planning and then the actual day is over in a flash – anything to help us remember the day would be great!!

Kind Regards

Caroline

Further comments:

How would you sum up your event?: Absolutely fantastic.  Angus and I had a great day/evening and we received many postive comments and thank you letters from our guests.  What more could we ask for?!

How would you describe the quality of our sound & music choices?: Perfect and well received.

Did the lighting enhance the mood and atmosphere?: Definitely

What were your first impressions as the disco began & guests entered?: I don’t recall too much about this but everyone seemed to be having a great time!  Angus and I really liked the fact that Greg was there providing a great service meeting everyone’s needs and didn’t need prompting.  In particular, thanks for thinking to hand my father/Angus the microphone for the speeches it made everything so much better.

What was the most memorable part of your event? : It passed so quickly it’s hard to recall any one part.  I can only sum up that our choice of suppliers including Boogie-Nite Disco came together to make a truly splendid day!  Angus and I could not have asked for better.

An amazing day!

You had listened to our ideas and made sure you played what we had asked for. You also ensured guests were enjoying the music making good choices for everyone to dance to! (tricky thing to do with guests from 6 months old to 97 years old!)

Did the lighting enhance the mood and atmosphere?: It was very good, we especially liked the glitter ball!

Greg was brilliant, and I enjoyed dancing to his tunes but I was disappointed in lack of participation by my brothers friends, the boring lot!! Good varied selection, catered for all ages and the children loved chasing after the different light patterns too! What was the most memorable part of your event? : Getting the “oldies” up dancing to the sounds of the 60’s, oh and YMCA!!!

We were just overwhelmed at how pretty the hall looked, the music fitted in really well. It was a lovely evening, but all over too quickly! I did think that New York New York at the end was a lovely touch, perfect way to end the evening.

How would you describe the quality of our sound & music choices?: Fantastic, what we heard of it! We were outside for a lot longer than we planned to be so missed quite a lot unfortunately.

What was the most memorable part of your event? : Obviously getting married!! But first and last dances were very special, and of course our surprise dance to Vogue!

It was a lovely evening, we were really pleased that we chose you to be our DJ.

Angus Hudson, The Communal garden of Cleveland Sq with a marquee holding the disco and dance floor, Garden Party June 2007.

Hi Greg,

I hope you got home ok last night and it was a quick and trouble free run.

Thank you so much for last night and thank you for keeping going despite the weather (torrential rain at the outdoor party). I was very impressed with you and your set up and your professionalism. Thank you.

Many people commented on how much they enjoyed the music (more than ever before) and I think you judged the rather complex mix of age vs music perfectly. Well done!

All the best … Angus

How would you describe the quality of our sound & music choices?: Excellent sound quality with a very appropriate mix of music that
suited both the evening and mix of age ranges perfectly.

Did the lighting enhance the mood and atmosphere?: The lighting really helped to set the scene and we would never go
without it in the future.

What were your first impressions as the disco began & guests entered?: Evening started with a good selection of easy going background
music while people ate, which gently built up to get people in the
mood for dancing – which more would of if it hadn’t rained.

What was the most memorable part of your event? : Sadly the monsoon like rain was the most memorable bit of the
evening followed by Greg persevering to keep the evening going
with great music.

Scott Bardo, Wedding at The Hunstman & Hounds in Essex.

Alround really good Greg. Really appreciated your flexibility in staying a little longer and appreciated the use of your PA system and mic. Thought you did a superb job. Well done. You played some brill tunes and slotted in some of our favs which was really appreciated, the quality of your system was superb!

What was the most memorable part of the reception?

After the fireworks when the music really kicked in. Thought your set was excellent here.

Tony Leongson , Wedding at Brighton College July 2006

Myself and everyone else for that matter was incredibly impressed by the audio quality and in particular the amount bass. I’ve attended far too many weddings where bass has been lacking which often results in an empty dancefloor!

Without wishing to sound trite, every part of the event was memorable. This is because we had utmost confidence in Greg and were therefore able to focus on enjoying ourselves rather than worry about this aspect of an already chaotic day! Greg may not be the cheapest but that is precisely why we chose him. The well known saying “You pay for what you get” couldn’t be truer.

How would you sum up your event?

High quality professional sound system (which was the main reason we chose Boogie-Nites). High quality lighting (no light boxes in view!). Professional DJ willing to do whatever it takes to ensure customer satisfaction. For example, the DJ agreed (without hesitation) to play a mix CD which was provided by me. DJ was also very smart and presentable. Also punctual, setting up the equipment within the agreed time frame. Lighting was first class. As close to a nightclub as you’ll get!

We provided quite strict musical guidelines and I’m happy to say that these were followed without exception – to the point where guests were denied any cheesy requests.

Many thanks!

Tony Leongson

Rachel Lake, 30th Birthday with Halloween Theme, Oct 2006

Thank you for providing such a fantastic disco last Friday evening. Everyone commented on how good the disco was. It definitely made my evening a great night for my 30th Birthday Party with a Halloween Fancy Dress theme. Everyone had a fantastic evening and commented on how good the disco was. Even the DJ ‘Greg’ wore fancy dress!! The quality of the disco was superb! I gave a list of some music choices which I wanted to be played and left the rest to the DJ. The music definitely made my evening.

The lighting effects were great – just right for the size of the hall I had. It wouldn’t have been the same without the great lighting effects. I could tell when the disco began that it was going to be a good setup. People danced all throughout the evening. There was rarely a time when the floor was empty.

The most memorable part of my event was that everyone made such an effort to come in fancy dress – including the DJ! It made my Birthday really special.

Anyway – thanks again. I will definitely recomend you to friends, and have
already recommended you to my work company.

Thanks again

Rachel

Robin Tandon, Wedding Reception, Ealing Ramada Hotel Aug 2006

Fantastic! Sound system was impressive, but Greg made sure the music was not too loud for the older guests at the reception. Greg was very accomodating with my pre-set track list, managing to get all of our favourites in and we were very impressed with Greg’s professionalism.

Lisa Wood, 40th Birthday party in Cambridge.

I found Greg Smith’s Boogie-Nite Roadshow listed on the Confetti website and rang him cold to arrange the music for my 40th birthday party in October 2002. I am glad I did! Greg was very attentive to (and very patient with) the many special requests I made and spent a lot of time with me on the phone before the event discussing various playlists until he was sure that I was satisfied. He was particularly helpful and capable and put a lot of time and effort into organising the music perfectly for me. I owe him a very big thank you for ensuring that everyone had such a good time dancing on my special evening. I had many positive comments about the music from guests after the party.

As I mentioned before, I was very impressed with how much time and effort you have over to organising the disco for my party and I was highly impressed with the results as well. I owe you a big thank you

Sorry I haven`t taken the time to phone, but I would like to say thanks for coming saturday night. You put on an excellent show. You will have to excuse for dissappearing at the end, I think that alcohol got the better of me.
